In the highly volatile digital currency market, chasing profits and trying to recover from losses will most likely lead to cryptocurrency addiction.
For this reason, Britain’s Castle Craig Hospital has opened a cryptocurrency addiction center to help those already addicted to trading digital currencies.
With millions of people being involved with cryptocurrency trading, the hospital anticipates that a sizeable amount of them may be addicted to crypto currencies.
According to the cryptocurrency addiction center, you are addicted to digital money trading if you,
-Feel compelled to check cryptocurrency prices all the time,
-Invest more in cryptocurrencies than you can afford,
-Spent more to get money lost during cryptocurrency trading.
Additionally, if you have ever,
-Borrowed money from friends/family to invest in cryptocurrencies,
-Experienced stress and other health complication due to your dealings with the digital coins, or
-If other people have criticized your cryptocurrency trading behavior, then, you are already suffering from cryptocurrency addiction.
Castle Craig Hospital is already known for its gambling, alcohol, and drug addiction programs and looks forward to replicating the same for those addicted to trading in cryptocurrencies.
A former gambling addict, Tony Marina, who is also a therapist at the hospital, will be part of the team that will help cryptocurrency addicts to live a life without cryptocurrencies.
“Having been through it myself, my experience of addiction gives me insight and empathy towards others who have the same problem” said Tony.
“The first stage of treatment is to join other addicts in group therapy and share their life stories. This helps them identify with each other and realize that they’re not alone”.
Although the hospital does not have statistics showing actual numbers of those addicted to cryptocurrencies, do you think a large number of people may be addicted as they chase profits in the highly volatile cryptocurrency market?
